best dog-friendly eats

A gorgeous little farm shop and restaurant just off the motorway when you are driving up to the Lake District from London. They are dog-friendly outside, so it is a great stop if the weather is nice. The staff is super friendly and the meal is delicious. I highly recommend stopping by for a good lunch and buying some fresh fruits to snack on during the rest of your drive.

A delicious brunch restaurant in Windermere with tons of options varying from Avocado Toast to Overnight Oats. I highly recommend coming here before a long, active day ahead. Dogs are allowed, but you will have to sit outside though and they do not take reservations. They are less crowded in the winter, and as long as you dress warm, it is totally comfortable. They have a special Christmas menu so it’s totally worth it.

francine’s Windermere

A small, bistro-style restaurant with delicious pastas and seafood. It is completely dog-friendly. I highly recommend coming here for a lovely dinner with your furry friend.

A slightly formal restaurant with amazing starter and main options. It is a bit pricier than the others, but totally worth it. It is also completely dog-friendly inside the restaurant.

The Punch Bowl Inn is only dog-friendly in the gastropub portion of the restaurant but they still serve the same food. They have amazing options and great specials. I highly recommend coming here for dinner after a long day.

Not dog-friendly but we highly recommend this restaurant if your dog is okay to be left alone one evening. The meal is a tasting menu, with options of either a 5-course menu for £65, 8-courses for £90 or 12-courses for £145. While it is quite pricey, the meal is truly spectacular with the flavours combined and the creativity that goes along it. It’s an amazing meal for a special occasion.
