Winkworth Arboretum
This is the perfect autumn and spring walk. You must book & pay to enter in advance, but it is so worth it to get the perfect autumn shots. I suggest going in late-October or November as it the leaves were only just turning red in early September. We will definitely be going back in the Spring as they have gorgeous cherry blossoms and more florals!
PREFERRED SEASON: ALL! Perfect for Autumn photos in late October/ November, and Spring florals in March/April!
SHEEP? No.
STEEP? No.
SLIPPERY? No.
OFF-LEAD? There are certain sections that are on-lead only and one part of the park that is not dog-friendly. Once you cross the walkway, it’s completely off-lead.
SPOTS FOR SWIMMING? No.
CROWD? Controlled due to COVID-19 and online bookings.
MUDDY? Completely dry and paved for the most part. Though you could go off-map and walk in the woods.
